Lovely Monday: Lauren Liess for the DC Design House

April 12, 2011

I am getting ready to fly to The Netherlands for my sister’s wedding and I couldn’t be more excited!

Before I’m off, I wanted to share some photos of a room designed by Lauren Liess from Pure Style Home.
The room is in the DC Design House, which has been redesigned by various designers for charity. The proceeds will go to Children’s Hospital.

I absolutely fell in love with this room when I saw the photos on Pure Style Home. Lauren has such a great way of bringing the outdoors in with her use of color, natural materials, great floral patterns and live plants.

All photos are by Helen Norman.

Don’t you just love the little birdies?

There are some Alice in Wonderland-inspired elements in the room, like this cozy spot for tea…

…and these gorgeous chairs designed by Lauren Liess for her own line. They are appropriately called the Mad Hatters Chairs:

So great! For more photos and info on the design of the room, visit Pure Style Home.

I am off to catch my plane!

I looked at her room numerous times. Her before picture was quite a “before”. If you have time shoot me an email! I would love to ask a favor!

Love that they incorporated the outdoors as well as Alice in Wonderland- another aspect of creativity my mind just cant wrap itself around. It looks gorgeous!
