Heart Pillow

March 13, 2012

I can cross no. 5 off of my 15 before 30 list! I actually made the heart shaped pillow cover a little while ago, but wanted to make a separate insert for it so I can take the cover off and wash it. I used muslin and cut the insert from the same pattern as the cover and just sewed it together with a slightly larger hem, so it would turn out smaller when turned inside out.

Phew, this was my first foray into sewing for a long time and I am pretty happy with how it came out!

It adds cuteness and extra back support to my desk chair. I really like that Eiffel tower toile!

I think it goes well with some of the other colors I have in the room. It’s a hodge-podge of things and craft projects/supplies but it’s a happy hodge-podge.

Hope you’re having a beautiful day!

Look how perfectly straight all the little Eiffel Towers are! I’d call that a pretty successful foray back into the world of sewing!

Good for you, Jaydyn!! I got back in sewing a bit this winter, too. Haven’t done it since Junior High School! What a hoot! I think I did more cussing myself out for stupidity than anything else. lol! But I’m sloooowwwly getting the hang of it again. Keep up the good work. This turned out sweet! :)
