Lovely Monday, Lovely Nurseries
I have babies on the brain, and not because we want one. We do, but all in due time…Speaking of due, this is the reason I am thinking about babies and nurseries:
My sister is due any moment now and of course we are all d-y-i-n-g to get the phone call that will let us know it’s finally time. Tiffany and her husband Michael decided not to find out whether it’s a boy or a girl and I kind of love the extra element of surprise.
Here are some nurseries that I’ve come across lately that I was drawn to.
{Joe Lucas, Lucas Studio}
{Lauren Liess, Pure Style Home}
Love the dark walls on this one (hmmm, maybe I am more drawn to dark rooms than I realized?) and the fabric canopy. They did the fabric themselves by stenciling a canvas drop cloth – such a great effect!
Coincidentally, my friend Jessamie from Bird and Branch Redesign posted about her nursery/guest bedroom combination today and I thought I’d share a couple of her beautiful photos as well.
I love the combination of aqua blue and yellow and I am head over heels for that bedside table, the bare wood, barely there white paint and glass knob = perfection.
I love the collection of mirrors that Jessamie has added her daughter Georgia’s initials onto.
(For more photos, hop over to her blog!)
I hope to be back soon with news about my sister’s baby!
you are so great! thank you for featuring Baby Girl’s room!
I love the one from Pure Style Home! I am definitely into the darker look :)
