Lovely Monday: Outdoor Sofas

May 10, 2011

This week is finally starting to feel like Spring here! I hope it is the same where you are! So, this week a couple of inspiring images from outside spaces. I really like the idea of an outdoor sofa or daybed.

I do always wonder when looking at these: How does it work with all those fabrics outside? Do you have to bring them in whenever there’s a chance of rain? Or do you just make sure you always use outdoor fabrics, and are those okay to stay outside (even when it rains) all Summer long?

Can you tell I don’t have any experience with this? ;) Any words of wisdom would be appreciated!

Anyway, on to the images. This daybed is so beautiful and I love the mix of the striped fabric with the floral pillows.

I really love this one too, and it was made by Nina, the author of the Stylizimo blog, by putting throws and pillow on pallets. Really cool idea!

This one’s really gorgeous too – looks like such a perfect place to kick back and read a book (or take a nap!).

Wishing you a wonderful week with lots of sunshine!

sadly, we have to put our cushions up b/c ghe squirrels pick at them and eat the stuffing out!! urgh! and even sadder, the place we store them is a little high for me to reach without my husbands help, so i can never just spur of the moment sit on my patio furniture.

Love the striped pillow in the last one! We’re hovering on the edge of too hot here, so I’m trying to enjoy the patio while I still can — would be so much more comfy with one of those! In a couple of weeks, being outside for even a few minutes will be unbearable.
