Lovely Monday: My Little Sister’s Wedding & De Puddingfabriek
It’s Monday, and what could be more lovely than a wedding?
I am still recovering from the busy week in The Netherlands and stressful flights (both there and back) due to delays caused by the weather. And of course jetlag – my goodness, it’s hitting me hard this time. However, it was definitely a 100 % worth it!
My little sister got married to her knight in shining armor, what a beautiful couple:

So Dutch with the windmill in the background! I love it!
I also really like this candid shot I managed to snap. They did an impromptu photo shoot at a skate park against a background of graffiti, such a great contrast with their wedding attire. I can’t wait to see the photos!
Posing with our parents. Mind you, we’re posing for the wedding photographer and this photo was snapped of an in-between moment by the brother of the groom, Bill.
I am so blessed to have grown up with a sister and so thankful for how close we are. What a profound experience to watch her get married – my little sister all grown up!
We had dinner at De Puddingfabriek. It used to be a factory where puddings were made (hence the name the Puddingfabriek, which means the pudding factory), and is now converted to a studio space. It is a beautiful, loft-like, inspiring space:
With a view of the river De Zaan:
The table setting was simple but pretty:
I love the little Dutch couples that my sister used as decoration:
My Dad enjoying the delicious Indonesian food:
The space also functions as a photo studio and I love this little corner with mirrors. Such a pretty purple wall and those wicker bar stools are so great.
And a beautiful shabby chic armoire:
In the end, it’s the details like the twig hearts above and the pretty wreath below that make a space feel special and treasured to me:
The next morning during clean-up I snapped this picture of the lovely Vera, part of the creative husband and wife team that operates this space. In the back you can see the photo studio, of course I drooled over that chair.
Wishing you a good week!
Lovely photos and lovely family, too.
The setting is incredible, I like the windmill and the color of it, I like the Dutch ceramic coulpe, the hearts and the wreath. Little touch like these give a special flavour to everything. I would have liked to be there and taste the Thai food!
What a fun time and such a lovely place! Thanks for sharing the lovely photographs! I hope you’ve been able to kick that jetlag. :)

What a lovely look into such a sweet celebration. Loved all of the little details, the green chair, and the joy on everyones faces. Welcome back!!
What a beautiful couple! I can’t wait to see the graffiti pictures they took, I hope you get a chance to post them when she gets them. It is so fun to see other places of the world, it is as if I have traveled there, but without the jet lag and the bad flights :) Congratulations to your sister and her new husband.
