Paper Flower Wreath

February 25, 2011

In part inspired by Astrid, who is making wreaths every month this year, and in part fueled by a slight obsession with making paper flowers, I created this:

Tissue Paper Flower Pompom Wreath

When it came time to pick the colors for the wreath, I was inspired by this post by Camila from Effortless Style where she wrote about her obsession with the color combo on this suzani:

I made the flowers with Martha Stewart’s tutorial and I also added paper cut-outs that were inspired by the pattern on the suzani throw.

It’s funny how inspiration comes from the most unlikely places sometimes! From suzani throw to wreath, who would have thought?

What inspires you at the moment?

Very cute :) I needed an idea to replace my tired, falling apart handmade acorn wreath! This’ll do the trick!

Your wreath is lovely! I’ve been thinking it’s time to play with paper again. Thanks for the nudge.
