Package from Beijing

December 14, 2010

A little while ago, I participated in a giveaway on lovely blog The Fable of the Table. Ingrid posted about this unconventional Christmas tree, put together from bits and bobs.

Isn’t it pretty?

The giveaway winner won a package of bits and bobs to help them get started on their own Christmas tree. Ingrid lives in Beijing and I was really hoping to win this mystery package of little things from far away. Alas, win I did not. But Ingrid generously promised to send those who didn’t win a little something anyway.

I was really excited to open my mailbox and find this envelope in it:

Out came this pretty card and the cutest little bag:

And out of that bag…came this adorable little box:

And out of that…came this beautiful panda ornament:

It will go in my tree this year and I plan on collecting bits and bobs throughout the year to make my own bits and bobs tree next year.

If you like Scandinavian style, craft ideas and tutorials served with a good dose of humor, be sure to check out The Fable of the Table!

    Hi Jadyn
So happy that panda arrived safely. Love how your photos make such a mundane package look so interesting. Can’t wait to see Panda hanging in the tree next year.

And what came out of the panda…?!! He’s lovely! I’m sure he’ll be very happy, hanging on a Starbucks tree, drinking a bamboocchino.
