Merry Monday: Christmas Decorating with Starbucks

December 14, 2010

I thought that for this time of the year Merry Monday was perhaps more fitting than Lovely Monday?

Christmas Collage

You might wonder how Starbucks is involved in my Christmas decor. Well, in daily life I work as a Starbucks barista. And Christmas decorations from years past at Starbucks have come home with me and found a place in my yearly line-up of decorations.

A couple of years ago, there was a crafty theme and I ended up taking home some of the balls of yarn-inspired decorations. The knitted barista bear was a purchase from that year.

I love this giant ball of yarn ornament (or sculpture? Not too sure what to call it.) The birds on the decorations had Starbucks coffee-inspired patterns on them, which was a bit too much Starbucks for my liking, so I covered them with pretty scrapbook paper.

This small tree (not a very good picture to show off this tree, I realize) came home with me last year. The tag is from a free download from the beautiful blog Jones Design Company. If you’re still looking for pretty gift tags for this Christmas, absolutely check out her free download!

I am in love with the Starbucks tissue paper. Since I buy gifts there, I always seem to end up with extra tissue paper. I wrapped some tissue paper around glass tea light holders and wrapped twine around them.

I like how it looks with the candle light shining through.

At our store, we give away the store Christmas decorations on Boxing Day. Not sure if this is done in other stores as well, but if you ever find yourself at a Starbucks around Christmas time and one of the store decorations catches your eye, it could never hurt to ask!

Wishing you a great week!

XO Jadyn

Beautiful! It’s nice that you work somewhere where they put so much thought into their decorations… you’ve got some lovely things.

I am for sure going to ask now! Lucky you to get first dibs, or even second dibs! Their decorations are all wonderful and so creative. I love what you have done with the ones that came home with you. Merry Monday (well Tuesday actually) to you too!
