Lovely Monday: Scrap wood
I fell in love with scrap wood furniture when I visited Holland last May. I had to snap this photo of the counter at a popular eatery in Amsterdam called De Bakkerswinkel (lovely place!). There’s just something about scruffy, chippy, weathered wood…
I also really love this image found at Apartment Therapy of a display at The Conran Shop.
And what about this cute little number? Surprise, surprise, though – the scrap wood in this case is actually…paper!
It is made by a Dutch company called Studio Ditte who make it for Piet Hein Eek, known for his furniture. They’ve produced a beautiful wallpaper that looks very true to life.
In case this type of thing floats your boat, as it does mine, I wanted to alert you to a great giveaway over at one of my favorite blogs Vosges Paris. To enter, you have to leave a comment at Vosges Paris with your choice of wallpaper. There’s a choice of six, and I love them all, but this one is my favorite:
If you’re intrigued, you can check out the wallpapers at Piet Hein Eek, and if you’re interested in the giveaway, you can find it at Vosges Paris.
Hope your Monday was lovely,
XO Jadyn
